Will the school be ready for September 2016?

We have been promised it will be ready and progress is being made all the time, so yes – the building will be ready in time. We hope to be able to arrange visits for prospective parents in summer time. We’ll keep you posted through this website.

Will you be offering wrap around care? Breakfast and after school clubs? Maybe holiday clubs?

We will certainly be offering this provision as part of our ambition for the school to be at the heart of the Staynor Hall community. We will also be considering the idea of holiday clubs – if there is sufficient demand, we will do our best to satisfy that demand.

Will there be a place for my child?

There will be 30 Reception places, for children starting school for the first time. We are also offering places for children in Years 1, 2, 3 and 4. This means that families in the area may be able to have their children in the same school, close to where they are living. In common with all other schools in the area, school admissions are coordinated through North Yorkshire County Council. Their website (www.northyorks.gov.uk) explains the online application process and the oversubscription criteria.

When will there be more information?
